Hi there, i'm not really an idiot, but I find it helps to lower peoples expectations :D This seems a decent enough place to do my first post and introduce myself, as the fact that i'm a drummer has always been about being in a band.

Anyway, I have a band, we're kind of just starting out, based in Edinburgh and Glasgow and looking for gigs anywhere in Scotland. You can find out more about us from our myspace - www.myspace.com/fireproofmatch , obviously, I drum, but I also do a lot of the vocals and the guitarist and I write the songs. We've recently recorded our EP 'This Broken Sky' at Foundry Music Lab in Motherwell and it's free to download at our website www.fireproofmatch.com

It's a Pearl Rhythm Traveller with a ratty selection of cymbals. It's all I can afford at the moment though I am looking to upgrade the cymbals very soon and hopefully a whole new kit this year.

We've made a music video for one of the songs on our EP, it's just us fannying about but it should be fun to watch:

Yeah, it was just recorded from a digital camera. It looked like someone was taking a recording from the sound desk on the night so I'm going to try and see if they got any of us, then I could possibly whack the audio over the top of that video. Though to be honest, I like that the audio isn't perfect cause it hides my mistakes :icon_redface:

IAAI, the cool part of performing is that most "mistakes" can sound like you meant to do that.
