Hey DC I drum in a band called With a PH. We're a christian rock band currently talking to Sparrow Records(the largest Christian label) about landing a label, so lets see what happens! You can check us out at
www.myspace.com/bandwithaph
Let me know what you think of everything!
Both songs were recorded in an 8-hour time frame w/out a metronome :( i know! they're about a year old and were done in a guy's living room on a horrible Peavey kit with PLASTIC hardware! just let me know everyone! :D

its like the 90s term "fat with a PH" Phat
we couldn't come up with something deep and meaningful so we went with something kind of stupid and mildly funny

Oh, I see. I was thinking 'PH' was an acronym for something.

Billy, I think you guys have something cool. I liked An Uncovered Candle the best, maybe because I grew up with bands playing awesome lead guitar riffs. Your drumming is solid. All the best with the record deal!

UPDATE!! So With a PH is playing a band competition where the winning prize is a spot at the RAGE music festival in Phoenix, Arizona! We're hoping to win, and think we have a pretty good chance because we won our last battle of the bands style show.
We've now got a full album's worth of music and right now we're playing with different styles of recording trying it ourselves, and if that doesnt go over to well we'll need to find something affordable for 4 college guys.
As for Sparrow Records, they're sending a "talent scout" out to the band competition to talk to us and listen to our sound! If we win this competition we MAY have a spot on a tour with one of our favorite bands! We're excited!
Any advice you guys have on the recording would be awesome, or if you know of any cheap "underground" studios give me a shout!
thanks for reading, all! I appreciate and LOVE criticism so feel free to give me your worst! :P

The vocals remind of the singer for alt. rock band Offspring, but in a "Christian" way. Very edgy. "Uncovered Candle" is good too but the singer is a bit "pitchy" in a few spots. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks late8! i really do appreciate the feedback! that song is "pitchy" because they were both recorded in an 8-hour period. We were being charged by the hour and we just wanted to crank out what we could in what time we had. plus the singer was getting over a cold, but what can ya do?
