Theres plenty out there but an Evans G1 coated is single ply with no muffling, with no centre dot, or reverse dot or any of that crap, so it's very resonant.
Something poppy relies on the snare aswell, but most heads can be tuned to be poppy with some knowledge of how to tune a drum.
