    I think that may have been when they changed over to the the new smooth lugs and logo badge... the shels are the same but the hardware is a bit different now.

    Nope... those issues are a distant memory... the Gen-X shells are slightly undersized in fact so heads seat and tune up like magic.

    I can't find any Gen-x tubs on the ebay these day... And I think they started making them in 99 or 2000... I'm almost certain I got mine in 99.... but maybe it was 2000.

    Premier is an English company so....

    As far as I know, all the midrange and high end kits have always been made in the small Premier factory in the UK. I believe the more recent lower end stuff...

    Premier's low end and midrange stuff (Artist Maple / Artist Birch etc...) are fantastic drums for the price. I had a set of Artist Birch for a while as a gigging kit and they sounded great.
