I tried them (5B) and just couldn't get used to them.
But if they work for YOU, then that's what YOU should use.

Hello and welcome!
Lots of good info here and a great bunch of folks, too.
All the best in 2017!

I'm very happy with my older (Gen 4) Ipod Touch. You can load it up with music or use the Wi-Fi connection, etc.
Quite pleased with it.
Just my $0.02...

Nothing fancy...but I'm really happy with what I did get: 24" coated PS3 bass drum head. I wanted to try something coated instead of the usual clear PS3. Very warm with slightly less attack. Just...
I use the two-legged version of the DW5000 HH stand and like it a lot! Very smooth. Not much else I can say. All DW here, BTW.
Cheers.

My only effects cymbal is my 2002 18" China Type. Really like it a lot.
There's no right or wrong way to set up your cymbals. Whatever works for you is what's best.
Also, I don't think you can upload pictures until you hit a certain number of posts.
Here's a pic of...
What a great looking score! Congrats.
Yup...all the same great Remo heads. I notice it, too.
Except that John Bonham used Emperor heads...two plies.
I wouldn't trade mine for anything (DW Collectors maple/mahogany shells). However, I would have appreciated trying the same set out with DW all maple and all cherry shells so I could actually hear...
I've previously used the clear EMAD head and was very happy with it. But I switched over to a clear Remo PS3 head (another single-ply) some time back and couldn't be happier. Your ears will determine...
Congrats! Looks like a real beauty!
I have the 22" 2002 Ride and am very happy with it.
Cheers.

New head day! Clear Emperors over clear Ambassadors on the toms: 14", 16" and 18". Boy drum heads are expensive!

Sounds cool!
Every DW line I've heard sounds super, to my ear. The PDP kit a friend of mine was using a couple of years back had a 20" bass drum, 12" tom and 14" floor tom...sounded amazing! He...
Yes, correct...bad idea for Paiste cymbals.:naughty:
Try a mild dish soap and warm water mix first. If you use Paiste cymbals, avoid any type of lemon or lime juice concoction as this strips the factory coating and leaves the surfaces splotchy. Ask me...
Only Paiste cleaner and polish for me.
That's great to hear. I've had my RnS throne for about 5 years now and it's by far the most comfortable throne I've ever used. Mine is the spindle version with the backrest, though.
My one...
No, they weren't cheap...but I did manage to get them for a good price when I factor in the CDN vs. US dollar and the list prices on the DW website.
And I received three of the four straight...
Picked up my new DW cymbal stands...four 5000-series straights and one 9701 low-boy boom stand. All is right with the world!
I use clear Emperors on my toms...but I also love the sound of coated Emps, too. I seem to get a little more attack from the clears. And, this is purely cosmetic, I love seeing the inside of my...
