    Re: Evans hydraulic drum heads

From what I've been told by various REMO reps ... no there is no oil in the Pinstripes .
Back in the day I would take a used Pinstripe and strip the top layer off . Then cut around an inch from the...

Look closer and you will see that he is using the REMO Pinstripes . Lighting can play tricks on the eyes ..
  14. Re: The Mysterious Chrome-Rotting Glue................A Warning

The guy didn't have any idea why his hardware went south . He just thought it was bad plating from Gretsch and was resigned to it being like that even tho he was taking very good care of the kit ....

  18. Re: Sabian HHX Evolution hi hats versus Paiste Rude 14" Hi hats

Just get the Sabian's and keep the Paiste's . Both are different animals and worthy of having in your own cymbal collection .
  19. Re: The Mysterious Chrome-Rotting Glue................A Warning

I did a gig last week and the drummer before us had a set of Catalina Maples in the amber finish . All his hardware on the drums was pitted and rusted and peeling . After they were done I talked...

  23. Re: Tonight's gig just became a little more challenging
