    Re: Kick Drum Head Cover/sticker

It's permanent. It's a pretty heavy duty sticker.

  11. Controlling lights/backing tracks with midi drum pad

    Any one else do it?

Looking for recommendations on a really good/reliable sample pad to use.
    Requirements:
    - MIDI I/O over USB (MacBook Pro compatible)
    - small (not looking for an Octopad)
    - 2...
  12. Re: Can electronic drum kits be set up for the left handed drummer

Yes. Most of them are all the same size. There are usually some (kick drum and HH pedals) that are longer.

If you buy it assembled, off the floor, take it all apart and remove all cables. Put it...

    Re: Floor tom placement

I did this for a few years, while playing with a heavier band. It was pretty fun. I ran (right handed) 2 up, 2 down on the right, and 1 down on the left, with the one on the left pitched in between...

    Re: 1 up 1 down

In my original band I run 12x8 and 16x12. They have a good contrast that I really enjoy writing with.

For my electric setup at church, playing contemporary worship music, I run 1 up and 2 down,...

Re: Home-Made Bass Drum Anchor -- photos

I don't understand how this works. Is that little tiny piece of velcro supposed to grip your rug enough to keep the kick drum from moving? Do you have a pic of this being used?

    Sticky: Re: Ddrum drums discussion

Looking at that picture, it looks as if they have 2 triggers on the kick. That is what I used to do when I ran Ddrum triggers (on my kick only) about 15 years ago. Just in case 1 didn't fire, for...
  21. Sticky: Re: Post Your Bird's-Eye View/Driver's Seat Kit Pics!!

Yeah. 12x8, 16x12, and 20x20, with 13x7 primary snare. The kit also came with a 14x12 floor tom, as well, but I don't use it currently. On the left is a Pork Pie 12x5 snare.

I always like watching your kits evolve. Been a while since I've been on here, so I'm glad you popped this up here, today!
  24. Sticky: Re: Post Your Bird's-Eye View/Driver's Seat Kit Pics!!

Thanks, man. I just found a crack in the 18". Think I'm gonna replace it with a 19 or a 20.

I LOVE that hat stand. I've had it (and been gigging with it) for 15 years or so. That thing is a tank!
