I like what Jimmy Chamberlin of the Smashing Pumpkins does. The last album (zeitgeist) I thought he does some amazing stuff on there.

Just bought an A Custom 18" medium crash and I love it.
Also have the A Custom High Hats. Next up is the 19" Crash. Can't Wait.
Never too old. I started last year at age 40 (still sucks to say that out loud). Over 1 year later I'm having a blast. It's amazing, I play almost everyday and I keep getting better. At least that's...
I don't know too many, but the ones I'm having fun with right now are D'yer Mak'er by Led Zeppelin and For the Movies by Buckcherry
Welcome to the Jungle - Guns and Roses. Rock on cow bellers'
I'm lefty and the only thing I do righty is drum. Not sure why but when I got my set I just set it up for a righty and figured if I had real problems I would set it up for a lefty but never have....
I got rockband for christmas and it's a blast. Only makes me want to play my real kit even more. I went through the easy and medium levels and now starting them on hard. Have a friend who's been...

I got mine from samash
Well you can definitely hear it. When you hit the bass along with a cymbal is when it gets drowned out the most. I play the music pretty loud through the headphones and can still hear the bass. It is...
I have the Sabian B8 Pro. Got them with my first drum set 4 months ago. Didn't really know what any cymbals were about back then. The B8 Pro seem to be a little on the thick side especially the ride....
They don't fall off my head and I wear them a little pushed back to get more drum sound
I use them everytime I play to music. It's the only way I can control the volume of the drums and the music together for something that works for me.
Lafirin, I think they tend to drown out the drums a little too much for my liking. I usually wear them a little bit off center to get more of the drum sound. I guess some kind of adjustable isolation...
Just picked up those from samash last month. They work great. I was having problems hearing the music over the drums and that made it hard for me to play along with songs. Now I use the headphones...
Working on Back in Black right now - almost have it all down. But, my song I could play all the way through first was 1979 by Smashing Pumpkins. Easy one to learn and fun to play along with.
Zildjian dipped 5bs for me. I was using Vic Firth 5A at first but wanted to try something else, now I can't go back.
That Roland is a great training tool. I've been playing that more than my kit lately. Most of my practice time is late at night so the RPM-5 is perfect for that. Keep rockin' Drum Chick

Glad to hear it's not too late. Bought my first kit a month ago and I'm 40. Always wanted to learn, and now I'm having a blast.
