I have the AAXplosion 18" crash along with the 16" and 14" and they are excellent cymbals. There are also HHX versions but these are somewhat darker and less 'glassy'. I love my AAXplosions.

Has anyone seen the Sabian video which has Terry Bozzio playing an all cymbal kit - no drums whatsoever? I've watched via the sabian app (on iOS) and whilst there's a trailer for it on YouTube, the...

That looks an excellent result. Do you have any before photos so we can see the difference once Sabian worked their magic?

I saw these reviewed when they first hit British shores. I guess the only issue for me is that changing a head suddenly becomes a bit of a mission. How long does it take to install them and are they...

I have the 14" equivalent to those so I'm going to be a bit darker than you but they are great hats! Congrats! That is also a great setup!

    Sorry, daddy-o, missed this post.

I would suggest that you buy the best you can for your budget. But, always try and try before you buy. I can't tell you how much money I've wasted on gear that I...

I use 3 AAXplosion crashes - 14, 16, and 18. They work great together and provide that bright attack and quick decay that I love in crashes.

Personally, I'm not a fan of studio crashes; the ones...

It's a great cymbal, Marko. I got it pretty cheap given that it was not far off new and it's a fairly uncommon model in the HHX line. It just gives me an extra 'voice' in my cymbal arsenal that is...

Well, my hunt for quality used HHX's continues. To add to my 14" Studio Hats and 21" Dry Ride (the predecessor to the RBDR) I now have a 10" Dave Weckl China Splash!

Well, my 21" HHX Dry Ride arrived today and it looks great. Not played it yet but cannot wait until I do.

It seems this ride is what was to become the HHX RBDR. What's cool about this...

I've just landed a HHX 21" Dry Ride off of eBay for just over £100 plus postage. It's used but looks mint!

    Photos when it arrives!

    Can. Not. Wait.

Not sure whether this is commonly known but it looks like Sabian are looking to release HHX version of the Omni.

I've just scored a set of 14" HHX Stage Hats off of the 'bay. This was a bit of an impulse buy caused by the dreaded disease known as G.A.S. but I'm sure I'll be more than happy with them.

I use nothing but AAXplosion crashes and I love them. They are very glassy, reaching their peak volume quickly (as the name suggests) before a quick decay.

They are not particlarly complex cymbals...

I mostly use AAX except for my 21" AA Ride which was purchased as a result of hearing that it was the ride that Chad Smith used to use. When I was just starting to put...
