London College of Music exams.
Can this music school not recommend someone for you? If you are an underclassman, can you get an upperclassman to show you some things to practice?
We all have demons we wrestle, brother. It's good to have you back. :)
Regarding the hoops, I'll have to say that if you can find either black or natural finished hoops, they would look sweet...
Shure 215 in-ear monitors. They can plug right into your phone.
I use them a few times a week.
This. +1.
Sorry about that hoop.
BTW....
Rich!!!!!
Where on earth have you been man!?!
I have thrown away old hardware before, but believe me, it wasn't worth anything at all. If a stand can't stand up at all (never mind hold anything), there's not point to it.
Have you checked the Roland website to see if they have it? You could also call to see if anyone could help you.
Edit: This may be of some help:

I'm going to go WAY against what folks are saying here.
I'm GLAD people are putting these out by the curb because somebody out there will pick them up. That's why they are putting them on...
I have a really small gap. I like a lot of sizzle when I do my "pea-shups." Plus with the music that I'm playing these days, I don't have any need to have my hats sloshing around a whole lot.
Is it bad that I don't know the difference between a lot of the metal hoops? :shifty:
I've always wanted to try some wood hoops, but that's an expensive venture for something just to try out.
Yup, I do a one up, one down set up with hats, one crash, and one crash/ride.
Love it.

How many plies is that???
I think this is true for A LOT of different instruments.
Take acoustic guitars for example. There is usually a HUGE difference in look, sound, and playability between a $500 guitar and $1500 -...
Phil Rudd.
I've always liked him.
Enjoy the anticipation. As adults, excitement like this doesn't come along too often.
I think that this is really cool. This would be a great stand if one wanted to do a 2-up/1-down set up. You could use the same stand for the middle rack tom AND the floor tom.
I like for my rack tom to be set up right in front of my snare, and I either use a suspension mount (for my Pork Pies) or a snare stand (my Pearls and Tamas). I don't really feel like anything is...
I like Hanna Ford.

I think in the 1990s when everyone started doing suspension mounts, LOTS of floor toms came with single-point suspension mounts. I think that a lot of floor toms these days are going back to the...
For my steel shell drum at church, I use an Evans Genera Dry. It now has ZERO ring to it.
For my steel shell at home, I use an Evans Heavyweight. There's a little ring, but it's not too bad.

No religious discussion! Get him Tom! Get him!!!! :icon_lol:
In all seriousness, I don't think that I've ever been good enough to sound like anyone else. At least no one...
Hate to hear about this.
I've never been fired from a band gig, and I've always approached playing music with the attitude of, "Well, if you can find someone who can play better than me for less...
Yup. I'm the same way. I work on a college campus, and I see "drummer needed" ads all of the time. There's no way I'm responding to one of those. I just turned 40 this year, have a full time job,...
