I can't find it! WHERE IS IT!?
Great kit and BEAUTIFUL finish! Specs please!
Hey guys here in the Tama thread (and anyone else who happens to read this)!
So, I've been away from the forum for a while, but I always have to make my appearances. Anywho, I've been extremely...
I stick my tongue out a bit sometimes. Other times I look like I'm in pain. Not like wincing pain, just like I am really hitting the drums hard (which I normally am...). That and I'm bouncing a lot...
In some cases, I wouldn't consider two kits by the same company the same! Each drum when it comes to the high-end kits is normally made by hand and can be made very differently...
My friend has a Ludwig Supraphonic 5.5x14 and believe it or not, it's so fat... I love it.
But, try the Tama Starclassic snares. SO NICE!
Remo Pinstripes for sure. I love those heads. In my opinion, they are a better sounding head than Evans EC2s.
Awesome sticks. Love them! I have been using some Sound Percussions to hold me over until I have more money. I'm buying some Pro Mark Shira Kashi Oak 5Bs/2Bs in bulk. I had a stick that was so worn,...
You, sir, have too many kits. Share the wealth to those with only one kit please :D
SJC makes awesome sounding drums. They use Keller shells and are great guys. My friend was endorsed by them for the longest time until he switched to Truth (one of the best custom drum companies on...
Jeez, JR, can I get in touch with this guy? I want the remaining 13/16/22!!! Seriously though. PM me please :D
It seems like only Tama and Pearl's signature snares are worth indulging in now a days...
Mike Marsh from Dashboard Confessional. Obviously Chris gets almost all the attention since he started off mainly acoustic, but Mike's drum parts blow me away. He is actually a VERY technical drum...
I would lose the bass drum hoop, but I actually really like the sound of these. It has nothing to do with Travis Barker, I just love the sound of those toms!
My best suggesting is getting some Pro-Mark Oak sticks. They are by far the most durable stick I've ever played and they are also very light. GREAT sticks.
Humble? Nothing is humble about an Ayotte kit with those cymbals :icon_mrgreen:
Amazing kit! I love the wood hoops and the choice of cymbals. Welcome to the chat!!
Exactly what I meant! Thanks for the visual help mrbling!
Agreed. Great placement spot. Or even put it a little higher than your snare! Just mount it right above it towards the back end of the side snare.
Also, clean that baby up! I'm jealous
Okay, that is the sign of a bad head... That hasn't happened with my Remo coated heads... Try some Remo Coated Emperors!
Did you buy them at Guitar Center or used?!
AH! I want it! Congrats GMAN!
I'm using Coated Emperors over Coated Ambassadors on my toms. I love 'em! Very warm sound, nice and short sustain, and very controlled. I'm using birch drums so lack of attack is NOT a problem at all.
Congrats you old man :D
Oh boy, where to start.
