haha thanks guys. if you want an EP you could send me the money via mail or, we are also working on setting up an online system so you can wait a bit... but i dunno it might take a really long time....
i almost always go to the new posts. sometimes i'll pick a section and just go through it to see if there's anything old that's interesting, but usually i just look for new stuff.
Some of you might remember my band from a much earlier thread when the Drumchat family was below 100 members, but I've created a new one here to promote my band's new EP. We just released it today at...
My dad's band! I was listening to them before I was even born.
Okay thanks guys. Yeah I'm not in a hurry to get one maybe I'll check out the new Pearls when the come out.
If you're talking about miking the toms then I suppose you could remove the bottom heads, but it works fine if you just place the mic over the top head. I'm sure you can find a nice picture of where...
I just looked up the ludwig supraphonic on musiciansfriend and "fat" is right in the description for the 6.5" one. any wood snares that might sound similar?
Mmm yeah I have an AA splash and I really don't have much of a use for it. It's cool to have an effect cymbal but I regret spending $$ on a splash instead of upgrading my other, more often used,...
Right now my only snare is a pretty cheap steel shell with good heads on it which help a little, it's 5.5" x 14". I've tried a lot of things to make it sound deeper and fatter but it's really hard....
yeah the Gretsch kits are really nice. I've got the renown maple kit which i think is only a step up from the catalina and it sounds awesome. I love the sound of maple
59...
i've got the superkick 1 i think for my bass drum, i dunno about the other tom heads though. besides bass drum heads the only other aquarian head i've purchased was a snare head and it broke only a...
yeah what i do is play one rudiment with my hands and a different one with my feet and it really helps for independence
mines in the basement which is also where my 2 bands practice. a nice space with a bunch of amps and cords and broken guitar strings lying around
sorry that was a little off topic... my favorite's gotta be double strokes... in combination with double kick... mike portnoy style :)
camp fires... reminds me of 8th grade we were in Utah and we made this sketchy band with me on trash cans and another kid on a 3/4 size acoustic guitar with only 3 strings... haha class trips
if you want to find an easy song to practice with i would recommend Neil Young's Rockin' in a free world. very simple beat and you can work on your fills too.
also try learning to rudiments on your feet as well. once you get the basic ones down they you can try and do one rudiment with your hands and a different one with your feet... i've found that it...
what do you have for mics? it's difficult to get a studio sound with only a few mics.... yeah audacity is a pretty good program for the nice price of free
those are crazy! i'm happy with my regular double pedal though
yeah for me I'm in 2 bands so I have to play at least 3 times a week with band practices... if you can get in a band it really helps to keep you motivated i've found. as the whole band progresses you...
sounds good! once you can't hear the difference between left and right then you know you've got it really smooth
i'd like to see those other videos if they even exist haha... studio bass
