anybody separated a set of speed cobras? ive done it to my dw 7000's, and it sucked. there are snap rings and such. i found some speed cobras for a good price, but they are the conjoined variety...
it wasnt a wax, just some clear coat treatment. wish i could remember who made it . doh
i used to use a something that would build up a polymer layer on the clear coat on my truck, would that work well for the clear coat on drums?

i consider the clear to be its own entity. you can re-clear things fairly easy. not so much the paint.
no, but ask a guitar player to use a guitar with 4 strings on the back of it , and 2 on the front and one on the side

but i agree the recording did not showcase the drums at all, the guitars and vocals sounded good , i thought, but you do get what you pay for.
the tama wood beaters fall out after 15 seconds or so, waste of money
i had a "sound guy" try to dial out all the attack my aluminum beaters on steel kick pads could deliver, wasted over an hour on sound check of my first gig. moral of the story, bypass the sound guy...
i agree with the double time/ halftime theory. if that doesnt help , challenge them to play hall of the mountain king, or flight of the bumblebee in 9/12 time. should shut them up. or explain that...

i used to use an acrylic clear coat enhancer on my truck, wonder if it would work for my gorgeous m birch kit, in depth study will result!:punk:
