Toms loose..floor toms are actually kinda wrinkled. Snare I tune the reso really tight and batter about half as tight. Have to tighten reso every couple of weeks but sounds awesome.
I used to have cymbal stands mounted in the kick drum tom mounts and when I'd hit the kick the cymbal would ring slightly so there's obviously going to be vibrations..not sure how much it would...

I use zip tie anchors.. They really stick well to short nap carpet or you can screw them in to wood and the bd spikes fit perfectly in the little holes...

DW Performance, 8 ply maple. Almost 3 years old.
I have my kit set up in a room with carpet on cement floor. It's actually half my garage converted into a room. Anyway, there's no heat and without a lot of insulation in the walls it gets very cold...
