Might as well have the house bunny, Anna Faris.
  2. Re: How would you count in this RHCP Intro?

I love it. Simple solutions for a complex world.

    Re: Sold my Gong

I kept getting calls from a company that will give me a alarm setup if I let them place a sign on my front lawn. I finally told them to send 1 of their people to see if they could get into my house...
  4. Re: Post something nobody cares about but you.

I had been trying to calculate exactly how many morons there are in the USA. I tried to come up with a formula for doing so, and then it hit me. Just find out how many guitars have been sold in...

Re: Playing drums in a band.

Get your stuff together before you get into a band. I fail to see the rush to get into 1. People playing 20 minutes and they're ready to go on tour. Foolish.

    Re: country music

I'm not a fan of country or blues music. Wouldn't want to play them all night, I rather drink cheap scotch.

There was a time, about 20 odd years ago when our lady singer wanted to go see this...
  9. Re: Thank You, By "The Groove Objective"

You don't need a metronome, your timing was just fine. I have never used 1, not during a gig or in a studio.

2 things to keep in mind: If a given song was 100 BPM and you finish up at 103,...

Sounded good to me, and the drumming was fine.

    Re: Copyright

Tom, I sent a e-mail to them a couple of hours ago.
  12. Re: What five bands or artists influenced your playing style the most?

Buddy Rich, 1st and foremost, then Louie, Max, Shawn, Morello. Once I "discovered" jazz, I realized that the drumming in the mid to late '50's on into the early '60's was simplistic stuff.

    I...

    Copyright

I hate beating a dead horse, but I have been trying to find out why my cover was blocked, but not the 1st 1.

I went to you tube and found about 200 covers of "Go Your Own Way", so I can't help but...

    Re: 25,000 posts for Bish!

25K posts, most of which came from going from 1 to 10,000 and back to 1 again. If it was 1 to 1,000,000 and back to 1, we would be wondering who he is.

    J/K Congrats, my friend.

    Re: Drumming and Hip Replacements

Heel down is less movement of the upper leg. Heel up requires more movement of the upper leg.

I have also played with my seat at 27". My leg is at about 25-30 degrees down, which puts literally...

    Re: Too much.

If your nose runs and your feet smell, you are built upside down. That might contribute to the problem.

Go on DC somewhere between 4AM and 6AM and the odds are good that you will be the only one there.

    Re: Did Ya Ever?

I had a Ferrari for about 3 years. It's computer was screwed up, so you never knew how it was going to run, but it was great to look at.

" I gave her 7 children, now she wants to give them back"

A line from, as far as I know,a blues song, that I never forgot from over 40 years ago.

I think that Brian nailed it.

Re: Picked up a new Drum Student (Video)

Tom, there are times when I seriously worry about you. I do like the Howdy Doody Signature snare drum.

Did you borrow the sticks from Spaz?

    Re: Drumming and Hip Replacements

Seems to me that if you play heel down, you shouldn't have any problems.
  25. Re: What's your preferred Drum Skins folks?

I've found that I get my best sound with a 14" dia. log about 3' long. Tuning, of course, presents a problem. I usually wind up with a 16" dia. log about 4 1/2' to 5' long, and a 13" or 14" dia....
