Never thought that I'd recommend this one but what the heck, when I bought this snare, it was purely intended for my rock gigs but surprisingly, I found this snare versatile enough to play on...
From your description, it sounds like a Joey Jordison snare. I'm not a big fan of Slipknot, hell I'm not even a fan of the band but of Joey, I learned to love the guy because of his signature snare...
Hey Doc, I own a Black Panther Snare and it sounds pretty good, what I mean is you won't go wrong with a Black Panther that is for sure. By the way you could use as many snares as you want, my...

Dustin that Mapex looks great, nice finish!
Currently I'm into my Stagg Cymbals, the splash and china in particular, also the Black Panther Steel Snare, each of them sounds amazing.

I use remo hazy ambassadors for the snare reso head.
As far as I know I am a soft hitter compared to the guys I know, but I always adjust if the band is playing loud so that I won't be drowned out.:boom-crash:
Usually in my room but with the band, we go to the nearest rehearsal studio. Hopefully in a few more months I will be able to put up my own music studio!...
The only one I have tried on your list is the Pearl Steel Piccolo, if you are considering this one better try also the Pearl brass and maple piccolos of the same configuration, the sound is way...
