Ok so this isn't a video, I just did the audio for this track.
The original Savatage track has guitar, bass and vocals, no drums at all. I wasn't able to set a metronome to the track, so I'm...

I'm partial to DW Collectors but I do love Tama as well. Not sure which kit I'd get since there are way too many nice ones, but I do love this finish.

The Performance Series lugs suit the kit better, IMO. This is especially true on smaller toms.

I gave it a first listen and it pretty much all blurred together with no stand-out songs yet. It's definitely no Scenes from a Memory. I'll give it a few more tries but I think this one's not going...

I sold my Epiphone flying V last week and used the money for this amp and cab. It's a Hughes & Kettner Grandmeister 36 and a Mesa Boogie 1X12 Thiele front ported compact cab. It's a great portable...
I think he means that the beater bounces back and hits the head twice when he wants to only hit it once. You have to bury the beater into the head and keep it there.
Great looking kit. I want a Tama hyperdrive really bad. Love the shallow toms and they sound pretty good too.
I don't know what your mic budget is, but I've been using the Audix DP7 mic kit and it sounds pretty awesome.

I can play heel up or down. I'll quickly alternate when doing double-bass patterns due to fatigue if it goes on too long. That usually only happens on my left foot though, since it's weaker.
Needs more cowbell
I'd say that regardless of the kit you have, the right kind of rack can reduce hardware footprint and make setup/teardown easier. If I were to redo my rack system now, I'd probably opt for the...
I'm a drummer and if you were my apartment neighbor, I'd petition to have you evicted. Have some respect for the people you share the building with. Vibrations or not, acoustic drums are friggin'...
I hope you're not still thinking you can use your acoustic kit with the tennis ball platform and get away with it. That platform only makes sense with an e-kit. If you try your acoustic kit just...
Time to consider electronic drums with headphones.

I'd like to hang out with Joe Satriani
I played it a bit tonight just messing around on the kit and it's fantastic. This one's definately a keeper! I want more of them for practice/studio work and use the AAX Xplosions for gigs.
What it sounds like in the store and how it sounds like once recorded are two very different sounds.
I always stayed away from Zildjian and Paiste due to their much higher price compared to Sabian. I listened to a bunch of HH's and others they still had in stock, as well as some Zildjian A rock...
One of our local music stores is going out of business and is having a liquidation sale. I've been thinking of getting new cymbals for the longest time but could never justify the price...until last...
I like the tom sound better on the DW, kick drum is better on Peavey. As for snares; they all sound good, just different.
I haven't tried recording the Peavey yet, so I can't say which records...
I've had 4 kits total, still own 3 of them. I haven't posted much here recently so I'll show pics too.

I mounted the Peavey on my conventional rack once and while it worked ok, it was a real pain to set up. I'd never use it for playing gigs. The idea of the Stealth Rack is genius and keeps the...
I set up my gig kit at my new band's rehearsal place. Looks pretty decent. I'm contemplating buying a Stealth Rack for it. I have way too many tripods.
