That would fit right in here in Nebraska! Only problem is the audience doesn't get to see it. I've always wondered, what effect (if any) does that color have on the cymbals? Does it show stick marks...

That's awesome. I see what you did there in the center between the cymbals; making a cross out of the rack tubing! You should wrap those sections of tubing with some gold vinyl to really make the...

It's actually a sparkle, but it's very fine and dense. It's actually really cool when viewed straight on or at a slight angle. For some reason, it just looks rather flat & dull grey from out in...

They're perfect for gigging in small venues and bars. Been using my home-made jungle kit (8/13/16) for the last year. This kit works even better. The 10" Tom has better projection than the 8", plus...

I figured since everyone's posting all these awesome & beautiful kits, I'll balance out the thread and post up a few pics of my $100 CL score. Finally got to use my Sound Percussion "street bop" kit...

Excellent! That's what I was after...the whole rock-a-billy/early hot rod feel. I tried to blend the classic "pin-up" girl riding a bomb with a country theme. I've had several people ask about band...

Thanks guys! I like the logo (made it myself), but I honestly don't care much for our name. Sounds too much like a variety show in Branson, MO. :icon_lol: It can make it hard to get bar bookings....

Id say just buy a pair of unfinished wood hoops for the bass and stain them a darker shade like Walnut or Mahogany color. Then, switch from the clear to a Fiberskyn front reso. The dark wood hoops...

The FULL band name is "Corn Cob Bob's Custom Blended Honka-Billy-Grass Music"......but it's only a 16" head :icon_lol: Maybe I'll be able to fit it all on my 28" Ludwig bass head.

A couple pics from yesterday's gig. The new heads on the 16" kick were a HUGE improvement. Sounds like a full size bass now, and even better with a mic in it. The feel is much better as well. I think...

You can try using 7A sticks and throw a thin cotton dish rag or t-shirt over the snare. It softens the sound but still gives you some stick action.

That "360" design really helps on older oversize shells. Even shells that are slightly out-of-round. I wish Remo could market a similar design.

I didn't like mine at first. The guys at GC (it was a floor model) had the snare tuned extremely high. It had massive ring. I stuck some adhesive backed vinyl on the bottom of the batter head and...

Why the smaller rack tom on the right (as opposed to being on the left)? There has to be a reason you prefer it there?

A few pics of my home-made Jungle Kit. I've used it the last 3 weeks for band practice. So far it's shaping up to be a keeper. I'll probably use it for most small gigs as well.
