The music school I went to has one of those drums. I borrowed it for a few gigs. It's a glorious snare drum.

Looking at that picture, I didn't think it looked very big. Maybe like a 20" or something.
Then I saw how big the dude in the suit was.
...
Skimp, that's a gorgeous ride! Of course, I might just be saying that because I also play a 20" Alpha Power Ride
It's Friday, fun, fun, fun, fun. I wonder which seat I should take
I hear that song every time I see or hear the word "Friday" lol
Yeah can your dollar go even lower so I can buy stuff? :shifty:
Hey mate, I've got the same cymbal, and I've only just started using it as a crash. I always used the crash as a top hihat. Sounds real nice :dancing:
I'm quite fond of the Mrs. Mac's Paistes myself.
I hate to imagine how heavy that thing is, and how the hell one would transport it to gigs!
Looking good!
Well it'll pick up the crap from your sticks and oil from your hands. They're not gonna be too shiny for long haha
I prefer the Signatures, though I've never seen them selling anywhere other than DrumCity in Auckland. I don't feel like travelling 9 hours to listen to some cymbals :P
The Alpha series is very nice. I have some and I think they are much better sounding than other intermediate level cymbals by Sabian, Meinl or Zildjian!
Also, welcome to the forum, Matty. Finally...

How much did THAT set you back?
ALPHAS!!! MEAN as cymbals! I'm not sure if the new Alphas sound different to the old ones, but they sure do look beautiful!

Paiste Twenty series are NOT cheap junky cymbals! That guy just didn't know what he was talking about.
Looks like you got a pretty sweet deal!
Very nice!
I love 2002's, I gotta get some bmyself. Too bad they cost what they do though
I have some Alphas. They are nice sounding cymbals indeed, especially for intermediate range cymbals.
That is a mean kit...
I have some Alphas. 14" Medium hats, 16" medium crash, and a 20" power ride.
I quite like them. I really want to get an 18" rock crash and an 18" china.
