Truthfully...If I were to jump from Gretsch, it would be to Ludwig. Still the most famous name on drums IMO.

Going up to Canada in Sept for a month. I get to play my Ludwig Supra again. Yippeee! IMO... the greatest all round snare ever made. Seems to have the right amount of everything... snap, body,...

Rogers were years ahead of anybody (american) in hardware design. Some Japanese took their stuff back for analysis. The rest is history. Tama hardware became popular in the late 70's into 80's.
