    That's a shame. If I lived around there I would grab those for 900, glean out a nice little 4 piece set and keep the rest in the closet on stand by.

    Truthfully...If I were to jump from Gretsch, it would be to Ludwig. Still the most famous name on drums IMO.

    Rogers were years ahead of anybody (american) in hardware design. Some Japanese took their stuff back for analysis. The rest is history. Tama hardware became popular in the late 70's into 80's.
