I too am ogling these Luddies! The kit in a word?? AMAZING! The hybrid birch / maple / birch samitch shell layup is a cool idea. The sound was what you might expect given the respective attributes...

Not a fan of the huge kick drums and the Accent mystery wood kits are not my cup either,, but to each his or her own. -Les:drums:
I think that the Accent zep kits were marketed as "selected hardwoods"
for the shells..I'm thinking Mahogany/mystery wood mix maybe?? -Les:drums:
