Quick question...
You can see how the 8" tom is kinda hard to access. I was thinking of going unorthodox and putting it in between its two bigger brothers (rack toms). It does take from the visual...

Haha I like that!
FWIW i shouldve used a ladder. The pic missed the right china and the left custom crash bells.

Super trashy yet solid decay with a very versatile sound profile.
So I had my local metal worker "Ozonify" two old ZBT cymbals.. a crash and a splash. On their own they sound great. Stacked... they sound AWEOME!...
Hi Late8
Sorry for the delayed reply. The additional curved bar will most likely hold mic booms. It is, however, temporary as I may use those curved bars for vertical posts in the hopefully not-near...
I added a pair of customized zbt splashes, a 14" customized zbt crash and a trashformer under the small china.
by customized I mean the cymbals were "ozoned". they sound AMAZING.

Awesome tips guys! Learned a ton and can't wait to do these.
@kay-gee i have three rack toms and two floors. I wanna get better at tom play and admittedly, they do look good :) The floor tom play...
It's so sad that I have all these toms around me and all I can really do are paraddidles, doubles and some weak sounding singles (ok maybe the occassional fast single).
But to say I'm able to...
Hello everyone. I don't know if any of you guys have this situation where you know you can do a lot of rudiments, have good stick speed and what not ON THE SNARE DRUM but when you spread out to your...

My hat pedal is in the inner most left as I...
Knee to knee distance... what's optimal?
Should the inside of your knee be almost touching the snare?
I find that knee distance and width are hyper crucial.
Now I don't know if the term I used is correct but what I mean is with regard to how your feet, legs, thighs and sitting positions affect the comfort and ergonomics of playing on'es kit.
Are there...
Thanks! I did tear that down already though.
One person at the most. I play for me and my insanity :shifty:
