Well i'm glad to give you that chance.

There ya go. It was purchased around 11 months ago by a drummer, whi used it once for recording, then he sold it to the gentleman i bought it of who says he used it and realised it didnt suit his style. I paid $230 Aus for it, which is brilliant considering they retail here for around $680-$740.

Looking good dexter - how are you finding it? - Sometimes I feel that you don't get a true picture of how a new cymbal sounds in your set up til you can record it and listen back, do you play in a band?

Yeah its awesome. Lovely smooth sound but opens up when hit hard but has a nice mellow decay. Great bell and great swell. Goes well with my 19" A custom projection crash which sounds fairly harsh and bold next to the K.
Dumbledore, ive scored a few bargains in melbourne. Awesome huh!
JSB, unfortunately i don not play in a band, my brother does but i work long hours and everyday is shift work and is a different shift. I also work weekends. I'm a bus driver. I'm married with a little one on the way. Not bad considering I'm only 24!

I created a trash stack today.

I started off with my 11" Oriental Trash Splash.

These guys are really thin so with a little work you can "pop" them inside out. Like so:

The waves in the metal really add to the cymbal's decay and trashiness.
    Flip it over:

And place your favorite smaller splash on top inverted. Mine happened to be a 10" A Custom and voila... Instant trash stack.

I'll record a video and post it shortly so you can all hear what it sounds like. It surprisingly has a lot of cut.

I have that same splash. Seems shameful to see yours wasted sitting on top of that monstrosity.

I guess if it works for ya all the better.....but me.....I just don't like stacked cymbals.

If that cymbal was A instead of A Custom it would not look like that all chewed up. Too much hard hitting or no respect. Either way that cymbal is ruined for life. Too bad cause she looked like a nice cymbal.

I got it used with about three or so cracks for 40 bucks, I figured I could use it for accents like this so I picked it up and the cracks only grew. I've considered cutting it down, but I just don't know. Something seems wrong about modifying my first "nice" cymbal like that, you know?

I swap my 8" and 10" splashes off of it too, because I don't have a place to mount two splashes clean on my kit unless they both are to the left of the hats, which just never seems to work for me when my side snare is over there. Sometimes I just don't use the trash crash. This is just something I've been trying recently. I can actually incorporate it in my playing sometimes!

    Nah, cut that thing down.

The only two constants I have are DW and Zildjian.
