I have a sabian B8 ride and definitely like it
Although lots of people criticize it for how much ring and sustain it has, I just stuck quite a bit of duck tape on the bottom. Now it has a nice tone with a perfect sustain, and a nice cutting bell
i'm not brand loyal at all. i have great mix of sabian and zildjian. i for the most part like zil crashes, hats and rides. and love sabian splash, crash and chinas.
sabians in the mix...
22" paragon ride
19" paragon china
18" xs20 china
14" hhx evo china
12", 10" hhx evo splashes
6" paragon splash

Sabian fan here as well. I wanted to get you guys opinion on this china cymbal. Do you think it's a good buy and do they sound pretty good?
Also i have heard where people are mounting their china cymbal upside down. Is that supposed to be the correct way of mounting that type of cymbal or are they just doing that to get a different tone out of it or something?
I use B8's at the moment. I know a lot of people complain about them but I'm actually very satisfied with them. I have 14" hats, 16" and 18" crashes, a 20" ride, and also a 12" splash (I think it's 12" anyway - and also this one came extra and is not a B8).

yohin, I'm assuming you meant can't stand, right?
I actually like the ride myself. But then again I don't have much experience with cymbals and therefore don't have much to compare it to.

all i hav is a small splash cymb from Sabian but its better than any of my meinls. I don't go anywhere without it when it comes to my drums. But later on I'll get some other cymbals by Sabian and maybe replace my meinls.

i have a HHX china, and a AAX stage crash
i got a Sabian Solar 16" crash.
at first i thought it was absolutely crap but then i started to like the trashy sound it has, its almost like a replacement china. And strangely im finding that i love this cymbal.
Anyone else used Solar before?
i was wondering if i should get the sabian hhx because i dont want to by any other brand i want to stick with sabian but i was wondering if they were the best symbol to buy for the price? any other symbols that are decent priced

love my sabians! Im not brand loyal..if it sounds amazing I will use it but it just happens to be that everything I like is a sabian.
21" hhx groove ride
21" Hand Hammered Ride
18", 16", 10" evolution
18" HHx Studio crash
14" AAX Studio top hat (thinner)
14" AAX Stage top hat (heavier) These two together make a killer combo!
Since all the top lines are too expensive for me(mainly because im cheap), i really like sabians pro sonix line. I currently have a 14 inch crash. They are discontinued, but you can still order them. They sound great!
Got a new cymbal today. 18" AAXplosion crash for $150.

how do 15" pro sonix crashes sound? and where do they fall in stature (pro, intermidiate, beginner)?
