I'm in shock too, just read the post.
I JUST SAW ON FACEBOOK....
Frank Iacovazzi passed away on Monday, August 10, 2009, after his short battle with cancer. While it was short-lived, my father fought the cancer as best he could. On behalf of my father, I would like to personally thank all of you for your comments/messages to him and hope that you keep our family, especially my mother Mary, in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks, Pete Iacovazzi.
I'M IN SHOCK...

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results - Albert Einstein
Does this mean that drummers are insane ?
I can't believe this. Such a loss. I thought he was doing better...
He has contributed so much to the music world, so much wisdom, helped countless individuals. Everyone he came in contact with was better for knowing him. I will pray for his family and loved ones. And I'm sure he is jammin with Buddy Rich, The Duke and The Count right now!!!
RIP Frank, you will be missed.

RHD, I certainly agree that we are all better for having known Frank. I am saddened by his sudden passing, and I am also glad that with his health continuing to decline, as it must have been, he still came on here to be among friends.
God bless Frank!

My deepest condolances for your family. Frank was a good man.
May God be with you.
Oh no!
Please shown thine mercy, Replace this enormous grief in our hearts with the fond
memories we all so dearly cherish of our brother, Frank. Keep him forever in our hearts
and our minds. Look down on his loved ones and lend thine hand to them in their
time and forever keep, shield and protect them always.
I am so terribly, terribly sorry
Q-Would you buy another one if it were stolen?
A-Well yeah... But, I'd probly turn into a homicidal maniac first!
I've been sitting here for about 10 minutes, eyes red, cheeks and shirt are soaked. If I could have moved, I probably would have fallen to the floor.
Having hung out with Frank, he was a wise gentleman in every sense of the words. He had many stories of interest to share and he'd seen a lot. I sat mesmerized listening to him for a couple of hours one evening. He drove to the Inn I was staying at (for work) and since he lived "a few miles away" he offered to meet up. So we sat in the lobby and rambled on and on. It was a night I won't forget.
He never really let us know how ill he must have been. His modesty and subtleness were probably that apparent in his drumming, as well. DrumChat lost a great one as did the rest of his world.
You will be missed, my friend!!!
R.I.P., Frank.
My thoughts and prayers are with your wife Mary and son Pete and extended families.
