Never considered myself a fan of black heads but I'm kind of liking it on your kit. Looks nice.

This is before I got my new hihats (16" A and 16" Constantinople) but I've been playing the smaller Ludwig kit almost exclusively lately and I love it! Sounds killer with the stock tom heads and the 22" Zildjian's make my mouth water :D

I don't think you could find a better cymbal for that. I currently use it the most for a pop/bluesy singer songwriter and it is utterly perfect. Been doing a lot of singer-songwriter stuff over the last 6 years and have primarily used a 24" thin heartbeat ride or a 22" Meinl Sand ride and this Constantinople is the winner. So much so that I sold the heartbeat and might sell the sand ride too ha!
I do use the ride for other stuff as well, more modern sounding music like worship stuff and indie-rock and it kills it for that stuff as well. I don't foresee using another cymbal as my main ride for nearly any genre. LOVE it.

A shot of my setup from yesterday mission paired with Vetted and Paul Delacerda
incorporating Roland RT triggers and the SPD-30. No mics in the small theater and the triggers added clarity in the mix.

Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!
"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
Love it! None of this "1 up, 1 down" nonsense..
