Never considered myself a fan of black heads but I'm kind of liking it on your kit. Looks nice.

Thanks! Yes, I found that I'm really not a double bass player. I rarely used the slave pedal, and when I did, it felt forced. I'm more comfortable with the single pedal.

-PDP Classic Wood hoop 6x14 snare

    Rides:

Thinking about a Constantinople ride for singer-songwriter stuff. What are you playing - you like it? Would you get anything differently after playing with it for a while? I can hear the sound I'm looking for but you never know you have it until you play out.

I don't think you could find a better cymbal for that. I currently use it the most for a pop/bluesy singer songwriter and it is utterly perfect. Been doing a lot of singer-songwriter stuff over the last 6 years and have primarily used a 24" thin heartbeat ride or a 22" Meinl Sand ride and this Constantinople is the winner. So much so that I sold the heartbeat and might sell the sand ride too ha!

I do use the ride for other stuff as well, more modern sounding music like worship stuff and indie-rock and it kills it for that stuff as well. I don't foresee using another cymbal as my main ride for nearly any genre. LOVE it.

A shot of my setup from yesterday mission paired with Vetted and Paul Delacerda
incorporating Roland RT triggers and the SPD-30. No mics in the small theater and the triggers added clarity in the mix.
    DW Collectors in Red Sparkle
    8x12, 12x14, 18x20
    Performance snare 6x14
    Clear Pins on toms
    Clear Powerstroke Pro on Kick
    Ebony Ambassador tom resos
Ebony P3 with port on kick
    Hazy Ambassador snare side
    Pure sound Super 30s
and of course the coated CS reverse dot
when the pictures load correctly i will add them....

"Too many crappy used drum stuff to list"

    Play the SONG......not the DRUMS!!!

"I think that feeling is a lot more important than technique. It's all very well doing a triple paradiddle - but who's going to know you've done it? If you play technically you sound like everybody else. It's being original that counts." ~ John Bonham
