Love, love, love that album by them crooked vultures.
Any classic rock fans out there should check out Black Country Communion's latest (and, I believe first) album. Their drummer is Jason Bonham.

Lots of college rock, late 80's - early 90's alternative rock.

The line between the real world and the machine world is becoming more and more blurred every day.But its not that humans are turning into automations or becoming slaves to the machines. No, we're simply growing toward each other!

Nice one Double D.
A truck load of purpleness there and no mistake.
It`s clear to me watching those vids that Deep Purple have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to talent.
I've been listening to ZAK BROWNS "Uncaged" album.
Really like it.

I often go back to the classic albums. I've recently revisited the pleasure of doing absolutely nothing other than listening to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon from start to finish.
Time to do that is rare these days what with work and young kids, etc.

I go to my local drum shop and purchase my sticks. I like to touch them before I buy them ;-)

Indeed! There are some that look to take the listener on a sonic journey and morph, seemlessly, from one track to another. However, this is not marketable (as it wasn't particularly at time of this record) and so is becoming more and more specialist and is most often seen in the progressive styles, from what I can tell.
This just makes Dark Side of the Moon, and albums like it, that little bit more special.
I did the same thing with The Wall yesterday night. Didn't really have the time so I started at around 11.30pm. Needless to say, I'm a little sleepy today especially after the 5.30am wakeup my kids treat me to! That was the first time I'd listened to that album straight through and while I was familiar will all the songs (except The Trial) it gave each track a different characteristic when listened in context.
