I'd say the young man has a brilliant future! Much like Tony Royster jr, he plays on a prodigious and mature level beyond his years. He throws in a lot of techniques from dynamics to double kick. He uses textures and grooves as well. He blends pop, rock, fusion and jazz fluidly. I see a high degree of independence and a great ability to structure a solo. Maybe I missed a skill or two, but I'd say he's ready to big time.

For me seeing something like that is really inspiring. He is the same age as me, and every time I see something like that it always drives me to work harder and strive to become the best musician I can be.

Whoa ! The question is...what can't this kid do? He's displayed an amazing amount of independence and stick control...not to mention fluidity and speed ! Are you sure this kid is 16? Even with the right genes, like Pastor said, there's a whole lotta hard work involved there. Amazing !!

I used to always see him busking in Wellington. I'm not sure if he does that anymore, but when I did see him busking on his small little GoKit, he was amazing! He's 19 now, I want to see some more recent videos of him.

That kid is a perfect example of what separates the great drummers from the fantastic ones. Not only did he show great skill, speed, etc, but his solo had a musical quality to it as well. Fantastic solo.

Oh yeah, he's pretty good, I suppose.

There are some people in the world who are simply complete monsters. That one handed roll he pulls at 2:00 is the stuff of legends. Also, the salsa breakdown 4 minutes in, which he cleanly steps out of with triplets. He is a magical man. Of course, I'm 16 as well, so this is partly me saying "Ha! Us young 'uns can be legitimate musicians as well!"

    I wish.
