I've never been the star struck type, but the day Mark Farner walked into the music store I worked at, I was fully gaga. Grand Funk had been among the small number of groups that was the literal fabric of my musical development. When Farner entered the room he was the star. He had that aura. I literally ran to wait on him (there was no competition as all the other salesmen were acting too cool to be excited ). I quickly introduced him to the store owner and sold him a small practice amp to use in his hotel room.

This was not long after he became a Christian, so we were on the same wavelength. We talked for a couple of hours. He asked if I was coming to his show that night - I was - and he made sure there were tickets waiting for my wife and myself. Front row tickets, and a great show. Thanks, Mark.

I must of played my Equinox album a million times! At least all the drum kits were really cool back then. Too bad they all sounded so terrible on recording.

Had the good fortune of seeing Styx on their Grand Illusion / Pieces of Eight tour in '79. The one thing that I remember about that show besides their playing was how loud and clean they were. I remember walking around the arena and no matter where I stood I could hear them clear as a bell ...

Listened to a lot of Foreigner growing up. That was one of my favourite songs of theirs. Don't like that version though.

Good evening everyone. How has every one been? Haven't been on in a while. Comp broke down, work and other stuff. I went to concert and seen Three Dog Night got autographs from whole band On cymbal and the drummer gave grandson sticks he played with and took pictures wit us. He was great. Concert was excellent.

My favourite Zeppelin song. When the guitar riffs kick in at 1:44, it sends shivers down my spine.

    Love that guitar sound!

A Canadian band. I've loved this song for as long as I can remember.
