I don't know if this actually qualifies a 'classic rock' item, but just got the 1982 Hughes/Thrall CD. Pretty good hard rock stuff, and you can't beat the Glenn Hughes' "Voice of Rock" vocals. Finding that some of the drum parts are pretty good for me to work on, some of them pretty simple, no great shakes as far as really 'good drumming' goes, but nice parts to learn and play along with.

Overall, the CD is good stuff!
Now, just a tiny bit less than an absolute drum newbie

I agree. I had to dust mine off after seeing your post. The vocals are some of Hughes best. The drumming is pretty much top-notch 80's rock/pop from three of the top LA guys of the time: Frankie Banali, Gary Malliber, and Gary Ferguson I don't have time to look, but I think two of them are still working drummers.
    Proudly playing:
    Doc Sweeney Drums
    A bunch of snares
    A bunch of cymbals

    Off-Set double pedals

I think I love to play the drums simply because you get to hit 'em!!!

When my girlfriend and I were vacationing in Ireland a few years ago, we set aside half a day to drive out to St. Fintan's Cemetary, in the town of Sutton, for a personal pilgrimage.

(too many favorite classic rock songs by Thin Lizzy, for me too mention; of all the groups who I followed as a teen in the 70's, they were the first whose repertoire I began re-purchasing on CD's in the late 90s)

We do a bunch of Hendrix tunes, and are adding Wait Till Tomorrow to the stable. Can't find a good video. Man what a blast that song is to play on the drums! The guitarist wants to do Earth Blues too, also a killer tune. We do a great version of The Guess Who's No Sugar Tonight right into New Mother Nature too
