playing along with ipod

ok i need some help,I just started using an ipod to play along with music ,for some reason its just not the same as the old cassette player ..so any tips you have for playing along with music tracks on an ipod would be appreciated.

lol..not sure ,,maybe just the idea of getting used to the ipod..with the old fashioned tape deck it seemed easier to stop and start at the appropriate place..

im guessing i just need to get more quicker with the buttons

Are you using the same headphones? It should be easy enough to stop, rewind, and play on the iPod as well....perhaps you need to strap it on your arm or something.
