Bonham used 2002s. If ur interested in the Giant Beats, use Paiste's website sound files. Extremely accurate.
How is it? What's the weight? Is it dark or bright? I was looking at some today in NYC-window shopping, unfortunately- and most important to me, how does it stand up to the test of time?
I think Bonham used Giant Beats... I think.
So itchie, how did the kick sound?

I go to my local drum shop and purchase my sticks. I like to touch them before I buy them ;-)

I have 18 and 24 GB's. I love them both after having played sigs for many years. I've been trolling eBay for several months for a cheap 20...
The ability to use the GB either as a ride or crash makes them extremely versatile. Aside from very high volume applications, IMO these things can be used in almost any musical situation.
With that said, you still have to like the sound... which I do!!! Not as bright as 2002, not as "silvery" as the sigs. I'm glad I own 'em.
