    Smile Buddy Rich

Got my free photo of Mr. Buddy Rich the other day and hung it on the wall in my cubicle here at work. He playing a "signiture" set of Slingerland drums. I remember seeing him play, not in person, but on TV. Don't remember how many years that's been, but I do remember his being "real good!" How do you get that good? Anyone 'splain that to me? His personality really came out in his playin'. Wish I knew the year this picture was taken!? And whatever happened to Slingerland drums? The "title" of the photograph is "The World's Greatest Drummer."
    Keepin' the beat,

Yea, In my opinion (MINE SO DONT FLAME)

Buddy rich is the best all around drummer of all time, and the best big bang jazz drummer of all time

I mean ,you cant compare him to someone like bohnam cuz they played diffrent styles, but he was amazing, the things he would come up with, like his hi-hat techniques, greatest creativity ever

This just blows me away every time I see it. Three of the best drummers to ever walk this planet. Check out how musical Gadd is and how he puts his whole body into it! And Vinnie and Weckl's chops!!! My God... this is as good as it gets!!!

I thought it flowed great. They all had the same hairstyle which added on to the greatness.

I remember there was an episode of 'I Love Lucy' that Buddy Rich was on. Oddly enough he had to come over to Lucy's because she 'found' one of his cymbals and he couldn't get it back until he gave little Ricky a drum lesson.

When I watch him, at first I'm motivated to practice right after, but I always walk away feeling like half a drummer or something.
