    The Pearl M-1330, it's 13x3.5" I think. It's the one I'm drooling over at the moment.

    pearl brass free floater. i wouldnt call the 12x5 portnoy a true piccolo, but it is a very cool drum.

    i have a pearl brass free floater, and i wouldn;t say that gives off a piccolo sound!!!
    Try the Pearl B-1330 Brass Piccolo Snare, very nice!!! Pearl all the way!!

    what size free floater do you have? how can a 14x3.5 brass snare drum not have a piccolo sound? i can almost get a piccolo sound out of my 14x5 brass ff.

    have a 14 x 5, and i don't tune it to get a piccolo sound, so thats why i said it doesn't, because mine well....... DOESN'T!!!!!

    Plus, better off getting a proper piccolo, easier...

    the the 14x3.5 is a piccolo on steroroids. the loudest crispest piccolo i ever heard.

    never seen one. but im sure it would work well. where did you see one? also check out yamaha. they make some great piccolo snares too.
