another of my favorites, since it hasn't been mentioned here, would be gallop/diddles and taps/pat's double (All the same thing). just a simple exercise to help work on rolls.

I'm chiming in a little late, but I haven't marched in a drumline since the Reagan administration (LOL). It is hard to beat this one, and I still use it to warm up today.....The 1985 Harrison Bushwackers used to play XXY as a warmup. If you do not know XXY by Rush watch this then pick your jaw up off the ground:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-2fKi9Zu5o"]YouTube - Neil Peart Animation - Drummer From Rush Playing YYZ (PART 1 OF 2)[/ame]

The beat is in 5/4. The first measure is played single strokes with the right hand, the second measure is played single strokes with your left hand. The 3rd and 4th measures are alternating R-L, with the beat as 16ths and the offbeats as 32nd (double strokes), with the final measure being a 5-beat 32nd note tap roll to a crescendo. Repeat faster....faster....faster....when the fire starts you are ready to play.
When in doubt, leave it out

You can get the excersizes on www.clstrikers.com but there are a couple that I could give.
