See i cant stand my toms flat, i like them angled twords me, but it dosnt really matter to me if their high or low
Just try moving it around until you find it where your comfortable
how long have u been playing eligacer? I just eventually found a comfortable position for my drums, although ill probly change it around one day. I once was in your shoes, but then you just eventually find a comfortable place for your drums and then you can move into more exiting aspects of drumming hehe
By "mid tom," I take it you're playing two or more side toms on your kit? Most kits I see have just enough space for two side toms...unless you're using a drum rack, you almost have to have any extra side toms on a tripod stand, off to one side.Originally Posted by eligacer
As funkster suggested, a pic of your set would help, but the way you describe the situation, you might have a problem with the extra side toms being hard to reach., especially if you play a big floor tom (or two floor toms).
I like to have the side toms tilted toward me at about a 45 degree angle...but as Ch33zz says, experiment and try a position that works for you...
Good luck, man!

I have both my mounted toms angled towards me at about a 45 degree angle and my floor tom is also angle toward me but not quite as much. I just experimented to see where i liked them, just takes time man. Good luck!

sonor beater...
together we stand
the really thing is the "metal" around the mid tom(2nd tom) and the "metal" (screw) around the bass drum, there's a metal to metal contact: when i position it to my desire, it worn out between the two metal....
- sorry for my english...
