I have a Rogers Kit, had it for 35 years and still Giging with it. Fantastic sound and people still admire it! Only thing I've had bother with was the swivomatic fittings but I got my father inlaw to turn new one on his lath out of stainless steel and they work extremely well, and look great.

Yeah I'm not a big fan of the Swivomatics but my Rogers kit does mainly light duty stuff so I haven't had a problem. I have wondered, though, what I would do if I needed to replace something.

Found these drums on CL in Ft. Lauderdale a couple weeks ago. Were in need of a complete cleaning. Took every nut and bolt apart and cleaned them. Was missing front bass drum hoop and bottom rims on the toms. Got a 10"x14" with it too but the lugs were toast. The shell cleaned up nice though. Will eventually fix it up and mount ithe 10"x14" as a 14" floor.. But I had a 24" hoop, some extra claws, Trods, and bottom rims. Not bad for $100. investment. They sound great !

Very cool. That's a great return on a $100 investment. Vintage kits rock.

Oooooh....black like mine, and yes I use a 14x10" tom as a floor tom too, it's got such a nice warm resonant sound.

Just got these drums for $350. They are a Londoner 7 (without snare) from the mid to late 70's. Great shape with the five ply shells with re-enforcement rings. The drums are my avatar picture.

    Nice!

I also have a matching 72' black Fullerton Holiday kit. 12/13/14/16/22 though. Rogers makes the best bass drums. I've never played a bass drum that sounds better than my 22" Holiday.

Thanks Late8 . Played them out on a gig for the first time last week.
They really sound good. Working on getting that 14" playable.
Have the 10"x14" in the mix now.

I love my Rogers! my dad purchased this Holiday kit back in the 60's and it's been in the family ever since. I only possess the 18" floor tom and 24" bass...my brother has all the other pieces. I break her out every once in a while but not as often as I should

That's a cool kit. I'm curious, what pieces does your brother have? Was this a double bass kit at one time?

That's also a nice collection of cymbals. I see one Meinl splash, but what are the rest?

If your upper tom sounds good with the rest of the kit, you could probably find a good matching wrap to make it blend with the kit's color. In any case, you have some desireable sizes in the 24/18 combo. I like.

    Thank you GeeDeeEmm...
My brother has our other Rogers Holiday in black sparkle which is a 20", 14", and 16" floor. Out of the Black Diamond Pearl kit shown above, he has another bass drum at 24" (originally, not a double bass kit), 16" floor, and 12" tom. The silver tom you see above is a 60's era Slingerland so I don't think I'd be wrapping that one. I love the 14, 18, 24 set up as they are deep and loud! Depending on what heads you put on them, you can pretty much change the sound of the kit (also with the dampening arms) to fit any sound you're looking for. I've found toms for my kit on ebay so I know they're out there.
As far as cymbals, you're looking at an 8' Meinl HCS (junk I bought for like $15), 10" zildjian K Hybrid Splash, 14" 60's-era Avedis crash, 16" 60's-era Avedis crash, 21" Zildjian Rock Ride, 22" 60's-era UFIP Ride, 18" Zildjian China High, and 14" Zildjian Mastersound Hats.
