I got some nice used New Beat high hats a while ago, and I've always wondered how old they are. Does anyone know how to date these?

If you go to cymbalholic.com, they might be able to help you. Have a picture of the zildjian stamp ready.

This is a tricky question cause I have tried on many occasions to identify my supposedly Vintage 70's cymbals but was not successfull. Hope you can find the right place to look and share it with us.

First, get an account with a photo hosting site such as photobucket, imageshack, or tinypic(fastest i've heard of). To get it going on photobucket, you will first need to get the image onto your computer. You can choose to name it something recognizable or anonymous for whatever purpose. You then upload it to your account, inside an album you create, on photobucket. From there, click on get image code, and that will copy the code. Paste that code into a thread and your image should show up here.

I know it's really hard to see. My camera couldn't focus on the cymbal for some reason. It's like this-

    Strange Pattern*
    AVEDIS
    ZILDJIAN Co
    GENUINE
    TURKISH CYMBALS
    MADE IN USA

I just picked up a used pair of New Beats a week ago and would also like to figure out the date of manufacture. Mine look a lot like the ones above, but they don't have any letters or numbers (like "JF 54242 027") under the "Made in USA" part. Does that mean they're from the 80's?
