    Thumbs up speed cobras

Wow. That's all I can say. I was completely blown away by these pedals. They're super light, responsive, and delivered each 32nd with aggression. Forget axis. Forget demon drives. Forget regular iron cobras. The speed cobra is the most GODLY pedal ever made.
What would normally take me supreme effort on my pedals (I know its a SP pedal, but...) Took me less than half the effort. While I did have to keep my ankles going, it took little effort to do so. It's so smooth and powerful and fast I even took a step further than what I normally do by playing "this calling" by all that remains, which has crazy fast double pedal. I aced it. I love these pedals! Who else owns/have tried these babies?
So itchie, how did the kick sound?

When I get the extra mula to get new pedals it'll either be those, Falcons, or Raptors. I want something my feet will grip and I've heard mixed reviews about the board, and I don't like the pointed beater, but that's easily changed.

Enjoy them! Make sure to let us know how they're holding up after you abuse them for a while. I'm on a borrowed Pearl double pedal right now and a beater flew off half way through my last set. No bueno. xD

I had a single and sold it. VERY light and smooth pedal, but I couldn't get any type of "feel" to it, couldn't really feel it on my foot, even with the spring set tight. Very nice pedal, just wasn't for me.

+1 lol. Tama truly makes some great stuff. I tried out a Speed Cobra double pedal at GC about....2, 3 months ago. I was knocked off my throne lol. I'm not even good at double bass and I was able to pull off a straight pattern for a little while. I tend to agree with CrossPoint though. Smoothness is great, but I need it to feel like there's something there. It's great how it eliminates tension, but a little tension is good sometimes.

Exactly, it was almost TOO smooth or light, but I have to be able to feel what I am doing if that makes sense

I have a pair under my feet and I love them! Granted, they are my first high end double pedal, so I don't have a lot to judge it by, but I haven't regretted the purchase.

They are incredibly loose out of the box. I tightened them up slightly and use beater weights. They are perfect after that.

I took a test drive at my local mom and pops music store and they were really light and fast. If I was totally immersed into metal, these pedals would be on the radar for sure! The Iron Cobras would be my choice too. Tama makes great hardware!
