Has anyone had any experience with saludas? I am thinking of getting some, but I'm not sure and there hard to find sound files of. From what I have heard there pretty good, but I would like to know your opinions!

I was going to order a nemesis ride awhile back, really like the sound of them. Hard to find sound clips of exactly what you'll get, as it is a huge variable. They can modify their cymbal lines to fit your sound, quite often for less than the major name brands. Here are some past Saluda threads that might have more helpful information for you to go over:

As Tah said I have a few Saluda cymbals and I love them. Its tough buying a cymbal without hearing it first, but Saluda will keep "tuning" your cymbal to get sounding exactly how you want it. Saluda has a trade in program so if you have any drum gear that you want to get rid of they will trade you it for a Saluda cymbal. Thats how I got into Saludas. Also check out those links Russ posted, I have many soundfiles and pictures of my Saludas in those pages.

Well it depends on a few factors such as condition, and what it is. Say you had a bunch of cracked Pearl cymbals...not going to get you much, but if you trade in a high end item such as a snare drum you have more trade in value. Saluda wants to get their cymbals out, so they try and work out good deals with you.

I have two snare drums I'm trading in, (Tama Imperialstar and Rockstar), Think they're worth anything?

I think you'd get more for the ZBT pack, but that's not to say the snares are worthless. You'll definitely get something for them, but they'll probably give you more the the ZBT's.

Are Saludas expensive? I have my bro's ZHT pack on my practice kit and I'm not fond of them. They are mint. I would love to trade them up (if he didn't mind). I've also been thinking about getting a new ride, and trading in my XS20.

Thanks GF. I've been moving over the Dream for kind of the same reason. I'm kind of looking around for a new ride, but not super seriously. The trade in is the big thing. I don't like the ZHT pack I use for practice (it's my bro's), so if I could get decent trade for Saludas, might do that.

Go for it. Saludas are lower in price because you buy direct so your getting a good deal if you trade. Shoot them an email and ask what you could get for the zhts.

Email's away. Waiting to hear back. I have an XS20 ride that I would trade for another ride too.

Any recommendations on which line? I play a wide variety of rock, like a good ping on the bell, and not too much wash.

Pretty much all of Saludas series are wide open, meaning you can have any series customized to your sound. Their Mist X series is kinda like A customs, loud bright. The Earthworks and Nemesis are good versatile cymbals, but again most of their lines can be customized.

If you order direct from saluda, you will get ripped off. The prices straight from the site are quite high, but if you go to their partner site drumgearonline you can get a much better deal. Mostly saluda's site is just for show and tell, but I wouldn't suggest buying their markups. I have dealt with DGO on several occasions and they have great customer service, and their products are good quality.

Yeah direct from Drumgearonline. I dont know why those prices are like that on the Saluda site, but you can only order them off Drumgearonline anyway.

Damn, what a difference! A 16" Mist-X crash is $109 on DGO. That same crash is $239 on Saluda's website! Can you still do trade-in's on DGO? Because at that price, this is something I seriously might consider down the line.

i think the Saluda prices are just MSRP, which as we all know are a joke. The DGO prices are the real prices, as Saluda's site directs you there to buy. Not sure about trade-ins, as I emailed last week and haven't heard back yet, but if they are directing you to DGO to buy, then they must deal with the trade ins too.

Their prices are very reasonable, similar to Dream from what I can tell. Got me very interested.

I sent it to the email on saluda's site, info@saludacymbals.com. Is there a different one I should use?

And just curious but what does tax season have to do with anything (my Dad's a cpa for the record)?
