I'll post some pics soon.
I'm guessing that posting pics gets a little easier after you have so many posts...
(Meaning that you don't have to wait for mod approval for them to show up.)
I'm not sure how many posts that will take though.

Hey guys,
My name is Billy. I'm a Sagittarius. I like full moons, long walks on the beach, d/d fre....whoops. Wrong forum.
I've played off and on for 30 years. I got a job in radio (dream job) about a year ago and that's when I got serious again. I practice 4 hours a day. (I only work 4 hours a day).
I play Gretsch drums. They're made of American Rock Maple. I also play Zildian cymbals and DW hardware. I also have a Yamaha electric kit that I practice on.
I am currently auditioning guitarists and singers for a new project. I do get lots of calls for sub gigs.
Favorite drummer is tough. Right now I'm real high on Chad Szeliga.

Hey folks. My name is Chris, and I'm in Central Missouri. I've been playing drums since I was a freshman in High School. My primary instrument was the trombone until I got to college and switched to percussion full time. I got a Bachelor of Music Education degree, but decided teaching wasn't for me when I got my first real taste of middle schoolers during my student teaching assignment.
After that I kicked around for a few years, played a lot in the Kansas City and Branson areas before settling down in Jefferson City. It all worked out great. I'm not a full time musician, but I've got a good day job, a great wife, and I have a blast rockin' on the weekends. I'm in a classic rock/R&B/Blues band called the Moondogs that plays all around the Lake of the Ozarks. It pays well and the scenery is spectacular if you catch my drift.
I currently play an early 90s Pearl Export Pro 6 piece kit with Evans heads and Paiste signature line cymbals. In just a few days I'll be getting my new Gretsch Catalina Maple kit that I ordered. That will be my gig kit and the Pearls will live in the basement and be used for practice. I'm stoked! I'll post pics one of these days.
I've learned things from tons of different drummers, but the guy who made me pick up the sticks in the first place was Jeff Porcaro. If I can say I've captured 1/100th of that guys groove and sense of time, I'll consider myself a success.
It's great to be on drum chat, I look forward to talking drums with everybody!
