Hi everyone, I've been hanging round for a few weeks, reading stuff and keeping quiet, thought it was about time to say hello
Your Name: Scott
Age: 40
Male or Female? Male
What type of Drums do you play? Roland TD4K
Who is your Favorite Drummer? Jerry Gaskill
Are you in a band? No
Do you see dead people? Er, nope.
How did you find Drum Chat? Was googling round for pedal reviews and stumbled across Drum Chat, there seemed to be a lot of knowledge here so added it to the favourite list
There ya go. So I'm trying to get back into drumming, I played a bit when I was younger but not seriously. After about 20 years without a kit, I bought a TD4K to practice without annoying the neigbours, and I'm hooked again. Been playing for about two months now and it's starting to feel right again. I've just upgraded to a Mapex Falcon double pedal, never played double before and I'm loving it, it's a lot of fun. Oh, and did I mention my brother also plays? And my dad too. Maybe there's like some sort of drumming gene in this family. They both play old Premier Olympic kits, my dad has two of them, and I was nicely surprised when they both tried my funny little V-kit and loved it
Anyway, I'll shut up now. Just wanted to say hello. This is a great site, well done everyone. So friendly!
Welcome to Drum Chat ode, and thanks for sharing your story! You'll find that we have a great community of drummers here.
