    what's the difference between vic firth extreme 5a and the regular vic firth 5a?

    Its slightly thicker than the regular 5A, but not as thick as a 5B. Same length. Just a slightly heavier stick.

    Um...actually it's the other way around. Extreme sticks are longer than the standard classic 5A with the same diameter. I've tried them and really didn't care for them. JMO
