    Question Clear VS Coated Pinstripes Remo

    i know im going to get pinstripes for my 3 toms. I like coated emperors, they work well for me. but im not sure witht he pinstripes.. please give me some expierence with this

    They're durable, warm and have lots of body. What kind of drums are you putting them on?

    Stick with Emps. IMO better sounding than the Pins, and you can always use Moongel to muffle them to your liking, whereas the Pins are pre-muffled.

    Good point. The pins are essentially pre-muffled emps (emporers) You can always muffle an emp, but you cant open up a pinstripe.
