Logos with cymbal cleaner

will the sabian or zildjian cymbal cleaners remove any of the logos on the cymbals?

In my experience, yes it can. But it isn't something that will happen with one or two cleanings usually-at least it hasn't happened to me that fast.

Here's how I clean cymbals. Painters tape over the logos.

Clean normally.

Small amount of WD-40 used around the cymbal, mainly on the line the painters tape makes. This is a good way, among others.

+1. I had bought a used Z Custom Ride last year that was filthy. Put some blue painters tape over the logos, shined it up, and it looked good as new. The only thing is that it's a little annoying getting in the crevices of where the tape is, so it might be a little difficult to clean in there. Other than that, it worked great.
