I'm an Evans man myself.
I just replaced the stock bass heads on my Tama Superstars with an Aquarian Regulator reso and an Aquarian SKII batter. I didn't add any additional muffling and they sound great! Also, because the reso is ported I get much better action with the beaters against the batter. With the stock reso not being ported, I was getting too much bounce back. Now it feels so much better. EC2 SSTs are on the way for the toms, then I have to decide on a snare head. I'm leaning toward a Remo Controlled Sound. What do you think?

I've had that setup on my kick. Currently, I put GMAD on for a batter just to try something different. However, the combo you're with now should do you well.
As far as the snare head goes, what type of sound are you looking for? I've used the controlled sound before. It wasn't too bad. The only thing I didn't like was when I hit the head off center, I got some different overtones that I didn't care for. If you don't like a lot of overtones, The Evans HD Dry snare head is very good. I'm currently using Ambo Coated for batters along with moongels.

I run a Clear PS3 and a ebony ported PS3 reso. Nice and punchy. As for the snare head definitely go for the Controlled Sound. I also suggest the Evans Hybrid snare head, it's really durable and sounds great. And it's the DRUMSET one, not the marching one... People always get confused when I suggest the Hybrid.
So itchie, how did the kick sound?

I picked up a 24" Aquarian Force for the kick batter yesterday and ordering a custom reso from Vintage Logos, ported.
Cannon sound, I'm happy.

EC2 SSTs came yesterday. Took a little time to tune them and away I went. They sound great with nothing but a moongel on each tom. Really loud and punchy with just the right resonance. I'm down to the snare as the last drum with a stock head. As of right now deciding between the Remo Controlled Sound or the Evans Genera HD Dry.

Awesome bass drum set up. It's the same as mine! The two heads really bring out the best sound for my bass drum in my opinion.
