I'm starting to pay attention to actual rudiments now rather than improvising and using my limb independance to guide me through. So far, sorry for all you sticking to the books, I'm not finding much great use or benefit in them. Matter of fact, most of the rudiments I'm studying I recently found came so easy to me because I had been using them without noticing lol. Idk, I guess I'm getting along fine without lessons, I just can't wait for about three years to pass to see where I'm at then.
Besides that, I'm working on writing rhythms and a solo for my band's newest song "Decieved". Fun fun. That and the Tom Sawyer cover we're working on.

Ha, you guys are all good and I am evil. I rarely ever work on my rudiments. I work on smoothly going from beats to fills and back. I am just having fun right now and have no plan in sight.

I've spent like 6 months getting an 'inner beat' and stuff. Now I'm looking at fills and suddenly rudiments seemed very interesting. I can get up to quick speeds really fast and suddenly applying rudiments to all parts of the drum kit is really fast and sounds great!

Rudiments are fun. Really help with coordination.
