    Default Acrylic Cymbals

I have been working with the standard rubber triangle cymbals that came with a yamaha dtxpress kit and they just dont cut it. I was looking into the alesis surge cymbals but read consistently bad reviews about their response. What I've been able to find about acrylic cymbals has been positive, but there hasn't been much. Im curious if anyone has played on a kit with visulites or some other acrylic cymbals and can tell me what they think about em.

Your best bet is to upgrade to Yamaha's other cymbals — PCY135, PCY155, etc. They are reliable, accurate, and have that real-cymbal swing. It's as good as it gets when it comes to eCymbals. Nothing electronic is going to feel quite like bronze, if that's what you're looking for.
