Definitely a big influence to me growing up. Although I do not like the term "Downer Rock". "Dark Rock" might fit better to me.

Love Sabbath even still. Good to see we still have some living legends. He also has two boys- Nigel, Aron and a girl, Emily.

Huge fan of Sabbath, myself. A style of their own. Captivating then, and today. Their music will live on forever.
Most definitely. As a matter of fact, there will be "NO LIMIT"... just an unending quagmire of musical genius.

One of my main influences, a seriously under rated drummer.

And it really sucks that he will not be in Black Sabbath.

I'm seeing them in concert twice next year! Unfortunately he won't be drumming at either. Not sure who they will bring in as a replacement drummer.

The best we can hope for is Vinny Appice, I hope they can work out their differences and get Bill back and be a complete original band again.

Always really dug his style. I saw Black Sabbath at Lolla this year and I was missing him behind the kit.

Were going to do that one at the next show on the 20th. Getting it together right now. Others we already have done are Behind The Wall Of Sleep, Children of the Grave and Into The Void.

I wanted to do some Dio era stuff but nobody can sing close to him. I'd love to play Mob Rules, or anything off that record. I know that was Vinnie but I always gravitated towards Vinnie's playing a little more than Bill's. The only thing wrong with that record was the mix. Way too muddy sounding. I never heard of Birch but I guess he was the one that did everything on it. Was Sabbath even in there monitoring it?

My brother went to orignal Black Sabbath. I think he said either Mohagany Rush or Grand Funk Railroad opened. He says Sabbath played two or three songs and that was it. Something happened to the p.a. or amps and they couldn't continue.

We both went to the Dio, Appice, Butler, Iommi version. It was good. We were in the the very front, i mean leaning on the baricade in front of Iommi. He caught one of the picks that he tossed out.

I saw Black Sabbath in 1984 but Bill Ward was not on the drums. Ian Gillan was singing. Was a pretty good show but I felt like it was not Sabbath IMO. I have heard in the past the Bill Ward gets really bad anxiety attacks when touring and that may be part of the reason they cannot come to terms. Hard to believe when you see him play as he is phenomenal but I guess most of us are our biggest critics.
