747's seem pretty popular
Regal Tip 8A Jeff Porcaro model. 7A's are too small for me, but 5A's feel like logs. Hey, I've got fussy hands, lol.

I go to my local drum shop and purchase my sticks. I like to touch them before I buy them ;-)

Oaks for me these days. Pro mark Stephen Perkins, and 777's (if I want a little more power). Oh and wood tip at that.

Any two that are straight and not broken!!!
Not model or brand specific at all...except I prefer hickory!
all the best...
I've used different sticks over the years but the past 10 I've been using Vic Firth 5A wood tip. Just a couple months ago I bought a couple pairs of Vic Firth Kinetic Force 5A and the jury is still out. Some days I like them other days not so much.

Any people that play with 2B sticks? Don't you think they are too heavy?
I love 2b sticks, or bigger, but I get mine in maple so that they are lighter.
Pro Mark 707 wood tip. Used to use the oak models, but my wrists were killing me. Switched to hickory and everything was better.
My kit: OCDP Custom drums, Zildjian cymbals, Tama hardware, Evans heads, Pro-Mark drumsticks, Roland electronics, LP aux percussion, Roc-N-Soc throne, Shure mics
Vic Firth 1A's for most of things. 5A's and 7A's for jazz depending on the gig. All wood tips. I have pretty monster hands so I need a bit more reach with my sticks. I finally feel settled now. I used to use Vater Josh Freese and New Orleans jazz, but they didn't feel as hearty and the tips didn't last nearly as long as Vic Firths.
ProMark Shira Kashi Oak 5A's. They are really nice

I played 747s for a long time, switched to Vater 3a Fatbacks for a while. Now I'm playing Vater Fusion, I've become very used to the lighter feel. When I switched to the Fusions, switched to a wood tip. Very happy with the feel & sound.
